A bit about me

Admittedly, my journey into software engineering was anything but conventional.

When someone first suggested I might like it, I scoffed at the idea. "Software engineers are just weird dudes who sit alone in their basement and never go outside to see the sunshine. I like people!"

...but then in February of 2020 I wrote and styled my first "Hello World" on freeCodeCamp and I thought "huh, that's actually kinda fun".

...and a few weeks later I wrote my first JavaScript function and thought "huh, that's actually REALLY fun."

Fast forward to today and every day I get to write code for a living. And every time the computer translates my code into pixels on the screen, I still get excited. Because it is still really, REALLY fun.

Faith Family Empowerment Center is a nonprofit that had a website in need of a little facelift... or an entire overhaul. We sent their old, desktop-only site to the grave and replaced it with a fully responsive site that looks great on any device.

Figure out all the dirty details that you need to know based on an IP address or domain. You can see your IP address and location on a map when the page loads (you know, in case you forget where you are) or stalk a company and figure out super interesting information about them like, um, their IP address.

Portfolio Site Version 1.0

My first ever portfolio site. Admittedly pretty text-heavy, but it deserves a spot because it's cute (and also because I worked very hard to get that light mode toggle working with Vanilla JavaScript. I mean, look at it!).
